Hermione is Hector's distant relative and descendant. 


When Hermione landed in 1970's with Time Turner and she explained to Hector who she is. Hector was surprised a unknown girl lands there from the future but he took her under his wing and said to her that you going to be my long-lost daughter. Hermione's name was changed to Hermione Dagworth-Granger a pure-blood wizard from now on.
