Regulus Arcturus Black (1961) is an English pure-blood wizard and a member of the noble House of Black. He was born to Orion and Walburga Black and was the younger brother of Sirius Black.

He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1972 and was Sorted into the Slytherin house. Regulus became a Death Eater in his youth but defected when he found out what Lord Voldemort would do to reach his aims however he didn't get to destroy one of Voldemort's Horcruxes because Hermione told him that you would die in the future after acquiring Salazar Slytherin's locket and that prevented it.

Magical abilities and skills

• Flying: Regulus played as Seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team during his time at Hogwarts, meaning he was a good flier, or at least so in his youth.

• Dark Arts: Being a former Death Eater, Regulus would have been well-versed in Dark Magic. Regulus also knew Horcruxes, which few understood, and even deduced that Voldemort made one when no other Death Eaters knew. He also managed to slip past the defenses that Voldemort placed on the locket and retrieve it in the Cave, though at the cost of his own life at the hands of Voldemort's Inferi in the cave's waters. It was prevented when Hermione Granger from the future told him, not to go to the cave and that he could die there. 

Relationships

Family:

Regulus and his parents, Orion and Walburga, had a good relationship. Because his brother, Sirius, didn't share his parents' ideology, their parents told Sirius that "Regulus was a better son than him". Regulus's parents were very glad that their son was Sorted into Slytherin's house and that he became a Death Eater after leaving Hogwarts despite not being Death Eaters themselves. However, Regulus's parents were shocked when they learned what Voldemort would do to achieve his aims. Regulus cut off his relationship with his mother before marrying Hermione because his mother despised being Hermione a muggle-born however his father was better and accepted his relationship with Hermione.

Regulus and his older brother Sirius didn't have a good relationship after their respective Sortings, in part because Sirius was Sorted into Gryffindor's house. Sirius also disliked Regulus because of his ambition to become a Death Eater, but he told Sirius that he resigned from Death Eater's role and they restored their relationship. When Regulus married then Sirius was the best man at his wedding.

Rose is Regulus' firstborn and only daughter who he adores and loves the most.

Kreacher

Kreacher, the house elf of the Black family, was very loyal to Regulus, who always treated him with kindness. Kreacher respected Regulus very much, and he served Lord Voldemort when the latter asked Regulus to lend him a house-elf.

Voldemort wanted to test the magical protections of one of his Horcruxes. Voldemort ordered Kreacher to drink a potion, and the house elf did so. Kreacher suffered dreadfully when he drank the potion, and he wanted water to quench the burning thirst that resulted. He tried to take some from the lake nearby, but he was caught by the Inferi. However, as Regulus had asked him to come back after he had accomplished Voldemort's task, Kreacher Disapparated and told Regulus what had happened. Voldemort's treatment of Kreacher and the knowledge of his Horcrux troubled Regulus deeply, eventually causing him to turn against his former master.

Pandora Lovegood

Pandora was Regulus' closest friend. She was 17 minutes younger than her twin (Evan Rosier) and a year older than Regulus and Barty Jr, making her a year younger than the marauders.

Bartemius Crouch Jr

Barty was Regulus' closest friend and roommate in Slytherin's common room. Barty joined first with Death Eaters and then Regulus as a second one but soon Regulus got betrayed by Voldemort and left his group without Voldemort's knowledge.

Evan Rosier

Evan was Regulus' best friend. He was one of the roommates of the Slytherin common room. Evan and Regulus share cousins via the Black Sisters. 

Severus Snape

Snape was Regulus' friend and possibly roommate of Slytherin'sn's house. Nothing much is known about their relationship during Hogwarts years.

Lord Voldemort

Voldemort was Regulus' former master. From a young age, Regulus admired Lord Voldemort and his ambition to become a Death Eater later on in his life. Regulus received his Dark Mark around the age of sixteen, which his family approved of as Voldemort was seen as striving to achieve pure-blood supremacy over other wizards and Muggles. Even though his parents were never Death Eaters themselves, they agreed with many of Lord Voldemort's own beliefs.

After becoming a Death Eater, Regulus began to consider abandoning Lord Voldemort, partly because his master mistreated and intended to kill the Black family's loyal house-elf Kreacher whilst setting up the security measures for one of his Horcruxes.

Romances:

Hermione Granger

Hermione was Regulus' former classmate during Hogwarts years who warned him about not go the cave in 1979 and he believed her even though she was a Gryffindor.

In 1982, when Regulus arrived from the trip and found out Sirius was engaged to her however he flirted with other girls and did not care. Regulus comforted Hermione and told her to leave Sirius because she was unhappy with him.

When Sirius danced with one of the girls. Hermione walked to him and told him their engagement was over however, Sirius did not care, Regulus walked there also and told Sirius that you wasted then turned to Hermione and asked for her hand in marriage Hermione was shocked but agreed and Sirus a shocked.

After Voldemort was destroyed and Death Eaters got imprisoned then they got married immediately and Sirius was the best man at their wedding. At the end of the 1980s, Hermione and he had a daughter named Rose Lily.

Emma Vanity

Emma was Regulus' ex-girlfriend and former Slytherin classmate. He broke up with her because she cheated on another guy however Emma wanted to second chance but Regulus did not wish for that.
